The sum of all fears: Targeted attacks against infrastructure sectors in Scandinavia
In the past years we have been witnessing an outbreak in ransomware attacks spanning from self-replicating one to the ones being send in bulk e-mail spam campaigns. Ransomware have taken most of the headlines in the press and has undoubtedly caused havoc globally.
In the digital shadows however, and more overlooked, the growing threat from data stealing malware and advanced spear phishing attacks have gone fairly unnoticed, but have none the less advanced in both prevalence and sophistication.
This presentation, on the sum of all fears, will focus on several spear phishing attacks done with APT malware and actors against high profile targets in Scandinavia.
The research is done as a result of systematic threat hunting technologies developed in house and incident and forensic works done on ad hoc basis by our incident response team and SAC.
The sum of all fears: Targeted attacks against infrastructure sectors in Scandinavia is primarily focused on sophisticated targeted attacks and will reveal some disturbing statistics about attacks against critical infrastructure. The data used to document this attacks are coming from our threat intelligence database, showing a constant increase in infections across different sectors.
