Joel Spolsky, CEO and co-founder of Stack Overflow, is a globally recognized expert on software development and is known by developers around the world for his website, Joel on Software, which has been translated into over 30 languages. In 2000, he founded his first company, Fog Creek Software, which creates project management tools for software developers, including Trello, which was acquired by Atlassian in 2017. Previously, Joel worked at Microsoft, where he designed VBA as a member of the Excel team, and at Juno Online Services, where he developed an internet client used by millions. He has written three books, including Smart and Gets Things Done: Joel Spolsky’s Concise Guide to Finding the Best Technical Talent (Apress, 2007) and worked as a contributing editor for Inc. magazine. Joel graduated from Yale University with a computer science degree.

Tomomi Imura is a software engineer, writer, speaker, and technical advocate, who is currently working for Developer Relations team at Slack in San Francisco to help developers to build bots with their APIs. She is also taking an advisory role at Code Chrysalis in Tokyo.

Linus Kvarnhammar is an independent security consultant based in Malmö. He focuses on offensive IT security through penetration testing and security audits for clients who need strict security. For the past seven years he has focused solely on security auditing, but he also has a background in C# development.

Woody Zuill is an independent Agile Guide and Coach and has been programming computers for 35+ years. He is a pioneer of the Mob Programming approach to teamwork in software development, and is one of the founders of the ”#NoEstimates” discussion on Twitter. His passion is to work with teams to create an environment where each one of us can excel in our work and in our life. He loves working with legacy code, and believes that code must be kept simple, clean, and easy to work on so we can work just as fast tomorrow as we can today.

During the first ten years of his career, Ola Berg worked as a programmer trying to make computers understand what he wanted them to do. But the last ten years it has been mainly about how we people understand each other. As an agile guide he works with organizations, both within and outside of IT, in order to enable true agility, safety, and awesomeness.

Marcus Olsson is a software developer and a consultant at Citerus, who mentors teams on cloud technologies, distributed applications, and DevOps practices. He’s passionate about building trust in teams and in software. He’s also a Google Developer Expert for the Google Cloud Platform, and organizer for the Go Stockholm meetup group.

Hannes Sjoblad is an internationally renown thought leader, speaker, media commentator, investor and professional advisor on biohacking, human augmentation and the impact of exponential technologies on the human condition.

Sonja Petrović Lundberg is CTO at Doctrin, a Swedish company that offers smart technical solutions for healthcare providers who want to streamline and improve the interaction with their patients through, among other things, digitalization and automation. Sonja has worked with data-driven IT systems for more than 15 years, with focus on language technology and AI, and has built and applied AI systems in a wide range of different areas.

Elena Fersman is a Research Director in Artificial Intelligence at Ericsson. She is responsible of a team of 100+ researchers located in Sweden, US, India, Hungary and Brazil. She is also a docent and an adjunct professor in Cyber-Physical Systems specialized in Automation at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Uppsala University, a Master in Economics and Management from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and did a postdoc at the University Paris-Saclay.

At Ericsson, she had various positions ranging from product management to research leadership. Her current research interests include automation of knowledge-intensive cyber-physical systems. Elena has co-authored over 50 patent families.

Anna works as a Conversational AI Developer at Artificial Solutions and she has extensive experience from working in the area of natural language processing and its application to Artificial Intelligence. Anna has a background in the area of multimodal conversational interfaces with a PhD in Speech Communication.

Kalle Prorok is a teacher at Umeå university with a Master of Science and Tekn.Lic in AI; Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning Systems. He constructed award-winning AI-software already in the late 80s and did advanced control, telecom and medical applications. Today, one of the courses he teaches is the popular and practically oriented course Deep Learning – methods and applications (taught in Swedish). Kalle has recently read many books, visited some conferences to stay updated and has some AI-contacts at Google Deep Mind/Microsoft/Facebook.

Johanna Björklund is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computing Science at Umeå University. Her research is on semantic, or human-like, analysis of multimodal data, incorporating, e.g., images, audio, video, and text. She is also a co-founder of the IT companies Codemill, Adlede, and Accurate Player, which deliver products and services for the media supply chain, and count ITV, BBC, and ProSieben among their customers.

Björklund received her PhD in Computer Science at Umeå University in 2007. The topic of her PhD thesis was the theory and application of tree languages. After her dissertation, she worked for a period of time at Dresden University as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Vogler, before returning to Umeå and a position as first a junior and later a senior lecturer, becoming a Docent in 2016. Her work is supported by the Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Defence Research Institute, Vinnova, and various EC funding programs.

Christian Ander founded Western Europe’s first bitcoin company BTCX and is the party leader of the world first bitcoin party. He is also the initiator of the Swedish Riksbank digital currency project E-krona. Christian has a masters degree in Quantum Physics and is currently chairman as well as founder of the VC firm Blockchain AB.

Travis has worked extensively with organizations in various industries in both the US, Europe, and elsewhere who are adopting cloud and mobile computing. His broad market exposure coupled with a background in application development allows him to help organizations with low-level technical issues as well high-level questions. His deep knowledge of legacy standards like SAML, WS-* and XACML coupled with current best practices such as REST, SCIM, OpenID and OAuth provides him with a unique and cutting-edge perspective on digital identity and access management. He is currently the CEO of Curity, the leading supplier of API-driven identity management, providing unified security for digital services.

Robert Gavelin is CTO at Dynamo Consulting, one of Sweden’s leading mobile app and web development companies. He is passionate about using technology to improve people’s everyday lives and eventually make the world a better place. Robert’s previous experience includes software development as well as managing teams and projects.

Leif Nordlund is a veteran in the Technology industry where he has been with companies such as Sun Microsystems, AMD and now NVIDIA. With a background in AI and Computer Science from Uppsala University as well as being an early adopter of Internet Technologies in the 90’s he is currently in a position where he can combine the knowledge from all of these areas. At Nvidia he is working together with the fast growing AI community in the Nordics.

As a professional with +20 years of experience in the IT industry, Johan has gained a solid knowledge of the business and customers’ needs. He works strategically to combine insight with proven technologies to supports organizations in achieving their future goals. He also brings insight into valuable solutions in the datacenter from Big Data Analytic, Hypervisors, Cloud & Converged platforms including compute, storage, and network. He has experience both from vendors, system integrators as well as a customer.
